Wild Wonders: Prenatal Care, Done Differently.

Pre-Birth

Three prenatal appointments to prepare for the big day, and beyond.

Appointment 1

The first appointment will establish the roles of your care team, your expectations, we'll start your birth plan, and complete a postpartum mood disorder risk analysis and cover any topics on your mind.

Appointment 2

In our second meeting, we will do a birth education crash course, practice comfort measures, role play labor & deliver, register for resources, work on or finalize your birth plan, and start your postpartum plan.

Appointment 3

The last appointment before the big day focuses on postpartum preparedness with a crash course in newborn care, finalizing your postpartum rest & self care plan, and ensuring all postpartum supports that you think you'll need are in place,

The Big Day

Your water broke! What now?! Call me! Ill head over to your house and help you (and your partner) through labor using comfort measures, positive affirmations, and encouraging you to tap into your primal state. I help you advocate for yourself, by holding space in the birthing room and fielding the barrage of nurses and doctors, simplifing what theyre saying to you, and of course coaching you through the whole process.

Got an anxious chatty parent or mother hanging out with us, and you need them to stfu so you can concentrate? Don't worry, I don't mind telling people to shush it up.

After baby is born, I hang out for as long as you'd like me to; typically around 2 hours. I'll be available for you to ask all the first questions, take photos, or even run out for a protein rich meal!

After Birth

Wild Wonders offer 2 prenatal appointments.

Appointment 1

Scheduled at the end of the first two weeks postpartum. We'll chat about newborn care, feeding, diapering, getting rooms finished being set up for baby now that you have a better idea for your routine. More importantly, we'll be checking in on your mental health and provide some guidance on navigating these new emotions and new life. Ill leave you with a little checklist of things to do before our next appointment

Appointment 2

Your mental health is our business. We'll talk about what's working well, what isn't, how you'd like to see change happen, and building a plan to ensure you're getting everything you need to be successful in this phase.
